IMMOLATION Checks In From Europe

May 19, 2007

Veteran New York death metallers IMMOLATION are currently touring Europe with KRISIUN, GRAVE and DAWN OF AZAZEL. The group has checked in with the following update:

"The tour has been progressing well and each night the bands have been maxing themselves out. Tonight, more or less one fourth of the way through the tour, we are playing the 12th date in Glasgow. Behind us, there is the highly successful Neurotic Festival in Eindhoven (600 fans) and the crazy gig in Hannover (300 fans) with the equally crazy afterparty. The day after tomorrow we are returning to the mainland and getting ready for Hellriser Festival in Leipzig, Bavarian Battle Summer Fest in Rosenheim, Suffering Life in Wachenroth and Deathfest in Duisburg. The bands are also looking forward to the dates in Spain — we all want some more sun!

"Also, we would like to mention something that has only happened once in our 20-year-long career. The May 8th date in Aarhus (Train venue) was cancelled a week before the beginning of the tour but fortunately we managed to move the gig to another, smaller venue in town. To our surprise, the Train club people fulfilled their obligations and transfered the full payment to us. Not only that, but on the day off before the Aarhus date they let us park the liner in their lot, and use the electricity, showers and the net connection. Finally, they even gave us a small meal!!! Are you surpised or what? We certainly were. We would like to use this opportunity and thank the Train club people Helle Rys and Mikkel Dyekjaer for their 100% honesty and kindness as well as Martin Thim from Metal Royale, who helped organize the replacement venue. One does not often come across such situations."

IMMOLATION's video for the song "World Agony" has been posted at YouTube. The track comes off the death metal band's seventh release, "Shadows in the Light", which was released on May 8 via via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at Millbrook Sound Studios with producer Paul Orofino.
